Version 1.1

A Docklet which checks your mail accounts for new messages

- Support for multiple accounts checking.
- Support for IMAP4 and POP3 protocols.
- Support for static or animated icons.
- Launch an application (Outlook, ...) on mouse click.
- Update status every 3 minutes (configurable) or on mouse held (long click).
- Debug mode.
- Configuration by editing the .ini file.

Configuration file :
--------------------
Link: The application you want to launch on mouse click
DelaySecond: Update interval in seconds
NbAccount: Number of accounts defined
Debug: 1=enable debug mode, 0=disable debug mode

Then put a section for each account you want to define (begin with [account0])
The 3 account sections in the default ini file are examples. Delete the ones you don't want.

If you only want to check your IMAP account, delete [account1] and [account2].
Of course put the correct values in [account0] and the correct "NbAccount" value (1).

If you only want to check your POP3 account, delete [account0] and [account2], then rename [account1] to account[0].

Special POP features :
----------------------
This trick is for you if you want to leave the messages on the POP server and you use Outlook Express.

An example, if you configured Outlook to leave a copy of the messages in the server :

You ask the POP server how much mails it has. It says (for example) 57.
But in your local outlook folders you have already 56 messages.
And in these 56 messages, you've already seen 55. One is new, but just downloaded. It's marked as unread.
So the number of new messages you have is 57-56+1=2

The number of messages in your outlook folders can be retrieved by parsing the .dbx outlook files.
The number of unread messages in your outlook folder are stored in a registry key.

I use the option "also delete the messages in the server when they are deleted from outlook's trash".
So I put two dbx files (inbox and trash).
If you dispatch your mails using message rules you may want to use more dbx file.

Debug mode :
------------
Every transaction is logged to a file named "Debug.log" in the local directory.

To-do list :
------------
- SSL connections (Tell me if you know how to do that...)
